BLUEWATER PARK - WIARTON
Bluewater Park is beautiful winter and summer with the perfect Victorian train station, the white stone sculpture of Wiarton's famous Spring forecaster, Wiarton Willie, a busy ball diamond and children's playground, plus a boat launch and long dock for fishing, strolling or watching the sunrise over the escarpment and clean water.

The historic Train Station was originally constructed in 1904, relocated and lovingly restored by the Town and the Friends of the Train Station, who continue to run a craft and gift shop in the building today. The train station is also home to the area information centre, from May to September, and provides information and assistance to visitors.

SPIRIT ROCK CONSERVATION AREA - North of Wiarton

Spirit Rock - the Corran

Take the path along the shore and climb the spiral staircase up along the sheer Escarpment cliff. Legend has it that further south along the shore an Indian maiden threw herself to her death. They say when the light is right, her image can be seen on the rock. A sign now marks the spot. On top of the Escarpment wander along the old carriage path and through the ruins of "the Corran", an estate in the grand style, build over a century ago.

SAUBLE FALLS PROVINCIAL PARK
Every spring and fall, rainbow trout and chinook salmon struggle over each ledge of this cascading waterfall to spawn upstream. Flanked by immature forest, the falls used to power a timber mill and generating station. Now they are the terminus of the Rankin River canoe route, ideal for novice canoeists.
